There was an 8.9 earthquake in Northern Japan around 3 or 4 hours ago. I’ve been watching it via-streaming news. It’s bad over there guys. Houses were hit with waves and the water just kept going, pulling the house along with it. The last I’d heard 8 people were dead, but that was before the whole thing has stopped. No one has started a real search and rescue yet. Waiting to hear the bad news… Good luck everyone in Northern Japan, and all the people stuck at work in Tokyo cause the trains are down.
I figured anyone reading this would want to know who they’re learning from! Better than being handed information from a faceless information source. Anyhow, my name is Jacob (hence the jyakabu), and I’m currently 21. I live in Kansas City, KS and this site is dedicated towards putting out information to help with Japanese studies.
This is me:

Hopefully I get some people following me eventually and people will learn something from me. :P
